St Michael's Church, Llanfihangel-ar-arth in stained glassSt Michael's Church

Welcome to St. Michael’s Church Website.  We hope that you will find it easy to use. In it you will find details of services held in the church on a Sunday. There is a notice sheet which will go up each month where you can find out more about the other activities that are held.

You will also notice that St. Michael’s church is associated with two other churches, namely St. David’s Church, Capel Dewi and St. Mary’s Church, Pencader. The three churches are linked and have the same vicar.

If you wish to study the Bible further there are two bible study groups, i.e. the housegroups. There is also a prayer breakfast held at the vicarage once a month. There is an active Mother’s Union. Incidentally, you do not have to be a mother or a woman to join. People with no children, or men may join. Everyone is welcome.

We have had a large Heritage Lottery grant and extensive repairs have been carried out.

There is a page devoted to the stained-glass windows and another page all about Sarah Jacob, the fasting girl. There are two ancient monuments (Inscribed stones) and an ancient Yew tree in the grounds of the church.
If you wish to know more about the History of the church you may read further on the history page. You may also download two history leaflets, one for adults and one for children. There is a gallery of a wide variety of photos.

If you wish to visit the church you may borrow a key from the Eagle Pub which is directly opposite.
There are kitchen and disabled toilet facilities which are available for anyone to use.

Please contact either the Vicar or the two church wardens for further details.
